Randy "Rawhide" Wurst





Randall “Rawhide” Wurst, born in Wyoming in 1953, grew up on a horse ranch and began guiding hunters at 12 in his family’s longtime outfitting business. After earning a degree in Police Science and serving as a patrolman and SWAT member in Cody, he enlisted in the Army in 1980. A Ranger turned Special Forces soldier, he served 27 years, retiring in 2011 as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. He deployed to major conflicts including Desert Storm, Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan, trained guerrilla forces worldwide, survived two explosions, and earned numerous military honors.
