There’s always one in every batch that’s a little special. This is one of our chickens we call Little Broke Leg. When I found him in the coop, he couldn’t walk. Most large poultry operations would say to cull him and move on. They’d tell you it’s a waste of money, time, and resources to try and save him. We don’t see it that way. Every life is precious, no matter what that life is. A few weeks later, Little Broke Leg isn’t broken at all. Every morning he comes running up to me looking for his pets and a treat. Too many people put money above everything else. At the end of the day, it’s just paper with pictures of people long gone printed on it. Life is precious. Value it.
